how to tell your parents you actually don’t want to go to private school?

i go to public school and i told my parents i wanted to go to Private school because the girls at my school can be real b**** and the guys can be real jerks sometimes but i actually don’t want to apply to the schools now. especially since none of the schools have a field hockey team. plus i don’t want to have to leave my friends.
