I turned to look at Joe waiting for his response. He stayed quiet and looked down at his feet.
I cant believe you I said to Joe. you know what Ive gone through. You know better than anyone Ive changed Joe. You know how hard Ive tried. You really think Im the same guy? I asked hurt by my brothers lack of confidence in me. Ive had enough of these two. I shook my head and rushed into my car. Im out of here.

Joe stood there and watched his brother race off to who knows where. he looked up at john mad.

yeah well sorry Im not gonna risk my sister to someone like that. Hes a cool guy but when hes with the boys. And by the looks of it you dont look so convinced either.
whatever john, I hope Kevin doesnt hang out with you anymore. Its people like you that got him in trouble back in jersey. Im gonna go talk to Ange. Joe pushed passed john and headed up to Angelas room. He thought it was time Angela got the whole story. He felt he owes it to his brother to explain to her.

[Angelas POV]
I sat in my bed with tears filling my eyes. I promised to myself I would never cry for a boy. But Kevin wasnt just any boy. He changed something inside of me. Ive never felt this way about anyone. This whole time I thought he was perfect. The perfect gentleman. The perfect friend. Just perfect. I tried so hard to hold my tears in. I heard a knock on the door and I slowly went to open it. I opened the door somewhat disappointed to see Joe. I hoped it was Kevin coming to tell me it was all a story john and Joe made up to keep us separated. I couldnt help it and broke down. Joe pulled me into a hug.
is it true? I managed to get out.
lets sit down first. Joe said. Slowly walking the both of us over to my bed. My heart dropped.

look theres a lot you dont know about Kevin Ange. Hes the main reason we moved from jersey. his voice sounded sad and hurt.

look. Kevins senior year he started hanging out with the wrong crowd. My mom and dad trusted him and thought he wouldnt do anything stupid. After high school he partied a lot. He would drink and Im pretty sure he would get high. One night he called me to pick him up. He sounded mad so I thought he had gotten to a fight. I took nick with me and when we got there he had his girlfriend up against the wall yelling at her and practically choking her. I couldnt believe the words coming out of Joes mouth.
no. I dont believe you. This is just a plan between you and john to keep us separated. I got up from my bed.
Ange wait! Let me just finish. Joe said. I turned around and crossed my arms waiting for the rest of his story.
after all that happened he began to drink more and people began sending us threats and stuff. My parents got tired of it and sent Kevin here to California to rehab. When he finished we all moved here so he could get a fresh start. I love my brother and I believed hes changed I just dont think hes made a complete turn around Ange. I could see the hurt in Joes face. He really was worried about this brother. weve all dealt with it differently but Im the one that REALLY knows what he went through. I was there by his side the whole time. I just dont think your guys relationship would help him in his recovery.
oh. So its not about him not being good for meits about ME being a bump in his road. Gee Joe thanks. I turned around and got my keys. I was tired of everyone. I decided I would take a drive to clear my head.

After about 20 minutes of driving I decided to take the long way home. I passed by the cliff where Kevin had taken me earlier that night. I parked and smiled to myself. I cant believe he could do such a thing and have gone through so much. He was always so positive and always such a gentleman. Then something caught my eye. I saw a shadow coming out from between the trees. It looked like a person. They were having a hard time keeping their balance and were stumbling all over the place. I assumed they were in trouble so I cautiously got out of my car.

SAM: The suspense is killing me.
SHERYLL: I was out on the deck and there were dolphins swimming close to the ship. So I was leaning over get a better look at them and I would have fallen if Joe didn’t hold on to me.
SAM: Oh my gosh! Did you meet Nick and Kevin?
SHERYLL: No, I haven’t.
SARAH: Do you think you’ll see him again?
SAM: Hello. We are on a ship. They don’t really have anywhere to hide.
[They all laugh]
SAM: This food is great!
SARAH: I don’t think my stomach agrees. My stomach is ready to send it back up.
SHERYLL: Are you seasick? Why didn’t you tell us?
SARAH: I didn’t know until now!
[They rush back to their room after paying the bill]

[The guys are in Kevin's room]
JOE: Why don’t you change the chorus. It sounds kind of dull.
NICK: No it doesn’t. It’s the music that needs to be changed.
JOE: No the music is good.
KEVIN: How long are we going to argue over this song?
NICK: Until the music is changed.
JOE: Nick, just look at these lyrics. They’re so common.
NICK: You’re just mad cause you didn’t come up with them.
JOE: Maybe that’s why they ****.
KEVIN: Ok. 15 minute break. Starting now.
JOE: Whatever.
[Joe walks out of the room and up to the deck]
[He finds Sheryll standing by the pool and comes closer. She's humming.]
JOE: Hey Sheryll
[Sheryll is shocked and turns around quickly. She slips and falls into the pool]
JOE: Oh shoot!
[Without thinking, he jumps in after her]
SHERYLL: Umm, Joe, I know how to swim so you can let go of me. [She smiles at him and he blushes]
JOE: Oh right.
[They get out of the pool and start laughing]
JOE: Sorry I scared you.
SHERYLL: It’s ok. That was fun. So what are you doing out?
JOE: I just came up for some fresh air.
SHERYLL: Me too.
JOE: Are you having fun?
SHERYLL: Well, aside from my friend, Sarah, finding out she’s seasick, yeah.
JOE: Your friend didn’t know she was seasick?
SHERYLL: Yeah, the three of us haven’t been on a ship before. Have you been having fun?
[Joe thinks about the fight he just had with Nick]
SHERYLL: Not going well? Do you want to talk about it?
JOE: The trip is fun, but I just had a fight with Nick.
SHERYLL: About what?
JOE: It’s nothing big, I think I should apologize. I guess it’s just because we’ve been stressed out.
SHERYLL: Is that why you guys are on vacation?
JOE: Yeah. Do you want to go jump back into the pool?
SHERYLL: Hmm… [She jumps in before Joe does]
JOE: Hey!
[They swim and play around, and soon lose track of time]
SHERYLL: That was so much fun.
JOE: That was amazing!
[Joe remembers he was supposed to be helping his brothers come up with a new song]
JOE: Oh man. I totally forgot! I’m supposed to be with Kevin and Nick.
SHERYLL: I should go, too. It’s getting late.
JOE: I’ll walk you to your room.
SHERYLL: You don’t have to, I bet your brothers are waiting.
JOE: I insist.

As they ran off, I yelled, “Have fun guys!”
“Thanks!” they all shouted before they disappeared.
“Now, honey, Joe and Riley are dating. People who date kiss,” I heard Denise explain as she walked over, holding Frankie’s hand.
I laughed.
“Riley, are you sure you’re gonna be okay by yourself?” Denise asked me.
“Yes, I told you, I’m not gonna let you miss your boys performing their first big show.”
“If you’re sure…”
“I am.”
“Okay, but if anything at all happens, call me or Kevin, okay? Don’t hesitate in the slightest.”
“Okay, I’ll be fine, don’t worry.”
“All right, I love you sweetie,” she said, kissing my forehead

Once they were gone, I sighed and collapsed on the couch. I hadn’t been feeling well pretty much since I woke up from my nap, but I didn’t wanna ruin this day for anyone, so I pretended I was fine. I looked up at the screen and watched the boys start playing. I watched a whole song, but then I had to turn away. Even the low intensity was bothering me. When I realized I didn’t have much time left, I decided I had to call someone.
“Hey, Rye, you okay?” Denise asked.
“Um I don’t feel so good.”
“What’s wrong?”
“I just feel out of it. I think…”
“Riley? Riley?” she said, but I was already gone.

The bad guy’s name is Evan. He is a bad guy from my personal past. He used to be a great friend of mine, until he went bad. He turned against me, lied, and betrayed me.

He would steal and cheat all the time.

He started dressing bad and acted bad. He started wearing tight dark blue semi grey pants (on a guy… ewwwww). He wore a tight shirt that went barely down to his belt too. He started wearing all black as well.

He dyed his hair for a party, saying it would only be like that for 6 weeks… Two years later he still has it black. He started hanging with the “bad” crowd.

He was an awful dude.

We eventually got into different things, and had different opinions on subjects. He became a real jerk and would get mad at me constantly for no reason. All of my current friends even **** him. He is just a bad dude that turned worse.

In this vid I show what I think he truly wanted to do to me at times.
